Bangkok Airways strengthens its hygienic measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19

In-flight meals will be served in a "snacks bag" for passengers to take home instead, effective 31 December 2020

Bangkok / 30 December 2020 – Due to the recent spread of COVID-19 in many parts of the country, and in order to enhance the airline’s precautions and prevention measures, Bangkok Airways will need to adjust in-flight meals service to be a "snacks bag" for passengers to take away instead. The airline would also like to ask for cooperation from passengers, not to eat and drink while aboard the aircraft, and to wear a protective face mask at all times, starting from 31 December 2020. 

For Bangkok Airways Passenger Lounges, Food and Beverages Kiosks, Courtesy Corners at available airports, snacks will be served in a snacks box or package to ensure the highest hygiene. 

Moreover, the company (airline & airports) will stop providing newspapers and magazines as well as intensifying our social distancing procedures, especially at high–traffic points such as check-in counters, passenger buses, passenger lounges with limitation of users. 

The airline’s precaution and prevention plans are in accordance with the standards and guidance of the Department of Disease Control, Ministry of Public Health and The Civil Aviation Authority of Thailand (CAAT).
